- Application of Overcorrection and Reinforcement in a Mental Handicap Case
Over-correction (positive practice or combination of verbal instructions and physical guide) proved to be an effective method for the modification of a mentally handicapped person’s behaviour. In this paper, the effectiveness of positive reinforcement for the reduction of the behavioural disorder is also analysed. Reinforcement was administered after a time criterion without behaviour was reached. Treatment was progressively effective, having required initially a complete physical guide, which was replaced by a partial guide and, finally, by verbal instructions.

- Cognitive Features of Schizotypal Personality
This paper examines the relationship between schizotypal personality and high-risk neuropsychological markers for schizophrenia. The sample consisted of 726 subjects, aged 14 to 20, divided into two groups according to schizotypal level (measured by the Multidimensional Schizotypal Traits Questionnaire, MSTQ). A comparison of the two groups was made by computing errors in several cognitive tasks (Category Test, CAT; Word Recognition Test, TRP; Visual Working Memory Task, PVMO-1; and Working Memory Verbal Task, PVMO-2).

- Dream Interpretation and False Beliefs
In the research presented in this article, each participant saw a clinician who interpreted a recent dream report to be a sign that the participant had had a mildly traumatic experience before age 3 years, such as being lost for an extended time or feeling abandoned by his or her parents. This dream intervention caused a majority of participants to become more confident that they had had such an experience, even though they had previously denied it. These findings have implications for the use of dream material in clinical settings. In particular, the findings point to the possibility that dream interpretation may have unexpected side effects if it leads to beliefs about the past that may, in fact, be false.

- Factors which Predict the Effectiveness of Different Treatments of Mild Depression or Dysphoria
Research on depression indicates different predictive factors for the development of depressive behaviour. In spite of this, cognitive-behavioural treatment is being applied to the general population of depressive subjects. In this study, two groups were formed from a sample of 236 mild depressive or dysphoric adolescents: the "cognitive dysphoric" group, composed of subjects with depressive attributional style, and the "behavioural dysphoric" group, made up of subjects with deficient social behaviour. We used these two groups to compare the effectiveness of applying a treatment matched with the type of dysphoria and a nonmatched treatment.

- Manic Depressive illness
In manic depressive illness, sufferers experience mood swings that are far
beyond what most people ever experience in the course of their lives. These mood swings may be low, as in depression, or high, as in periods when we might feel very elated. These high periods are known as ?manic? phases. Many sufferers have both high and low phases, but some will only experience either depression or mania. A more technical tern used to describe this illness is ?bi-polar affective disorder?. A rare delusional disorder shared by two or occasionally more people with close emotional links (also known as folie a deux). Somatoform disorders: A group of psychiatric disorders characterized by physical symptoms that suggest but are not fully explained by a physical disorder and that cause significant distress or interfere with social, occupational, or other functioning. In this work we present the preliminary results for the validation of a systematic desensitization programme applied to fear of flying. The programme is made up of three phases: the first consists of four sessions in relaxation and imagination training, the second phase has three sessions focusing on the elaboration of the phobic stimulus hierarchy (travelling by plane); the third, with a minimum of five and maximum of eight sessions, deals with the application of the systematic desensitization, together with stop thinking.
